The Faculty of Letters and Humanities at Abdelmalek Essaadi University (AEU) is among the best-placed national institutions in research and multidisciplinary studies thanks to the scholarly contributions of faculty, doctoral students, and alumni. Publications and dissertations range over varied research areas and reflect the vitality and mission of multiple research groups and laboratories.

To keep abreast of emerging developments in research and academia both nationally and internationally, the Faculty of Letters and Humanities has worked in line with the AEU overall strategic vision for scientific research and academic excellence. Since its creation in 1982, this faculty has indefatigably striven to implement national policies and recommendations in terms of promoting and nurturing challenge-led and goal-oriented research.

To achieve its well-determined objectives and succeed in overcoming current societal and global challenges, the faculty of letters and humanities at AEU is keen on reorganizing in-place research structures, reorient research practices across disciplines and around major themes, pool and consolidate resources and infrastructure, and of course invest in new partnership schemes and innovative collaborations nationally and internationally. The Faculty Journal will evolve into an international publication-- theme-oriented, multilingual, and indexed.

To improve the international ranking of Abdelmalek Essaadi University, faculty members, postgraduates and alumni are requested to use the name of Abdelmalek Essaadi University in their publications and opt for indexed journals and international houses of publication. The faculty of Letters and Humanities will prioritize growth and quality and will continue to perform within its regional and national contexts as a leading research-powered institution.
